Today, dive deeper into Zagreb’s vibrant culture. Start with a visit to Dolac Market, where locals shop for fresh produce. Make sure to grab some fresh fruit for your trip!
Next, check out the Museum of Broken Relationships. It’s quirky but unique and provides an up-close look at stories of love and loss. In the afternoon, take a relaxing walk in the beautiful Maksimir Park. It’s perfect for a peaceful escape from the city’s hustle.

Day 3: Day Trip to Plitvice Lakes National Park
Head out early for a day trip to Plitvice Lakes, one of the most beautiful national parks in Croatia (and a UNESCO World Heritage site). The park’s turquoise lakes and stunning waterfalls make it a must-see.
You’ll spend most of the day exploring its wooden paths. Take your time and enjoy the beautiful sights and sounds of nature. Bring sturdy shoes, as the trails can be a bit uneven.
Return to Zagreb in the evening for some downtime. Consider hitting a quiet local wine bar to relax and reflect on the day’s adventure.
Day 4: Travel to Zadar
Today, you’ll head to Zadar. The bus ride from Zagreb is about three hours long, so you can relax and enjoy the Croatian countryside along the way.

Just a short drive or bus ride from Split is Trogir, a beautiful coastal town with a well-preserved medieval core. Spend the day wandering its streets, visiting Kamerlengo Castle, and soaking in the Mediterranean vibe.

Head back to Split for the night.
Day 8: Beach Day in Split
After a week of sightseeing, take a day to relax. Today is a beach day! Head to Bacvice Beach, the most famous spot in Split. The shallow waters make it ideal for swimming, and you can try the local beach game, picigin.
If you’re looking for a quieter beach, head a little further to Kašjuni Beach. It’s surrounded by pine trees, and you’ll find fewer crowds here.
End the day by watching the sunset from Marjan Hill, one of the best viewpoints in Split.

It’s island time! Today, catch a ferry to Hvar, one of Croatia’s most famous islands. It’s known for its beaches, nightlife, and ancient sights.
Once you arrive, spend the afternoon wandering the historic town of Hvar. Visit the fortress that overlooks the town for panoramic views, then spend some time strolling the waterfront.
At night, Hvar comes alive with beach bars, restaurants, and nightlife. You can either join in or find a quieter spot for a glass of local wine.

Today’s all about island hopping. Rent a boat or join a boat tour to explore the nearby Pakleni Islands. Don’t forget to pack your swimsuit, as there are plenty of great spots to anchor and swim!

In the evening, return to Hvar and enjoy a peaceful meal by the sea.
Day 11: Move to Korčula
In the morning, take another ferry to the island of Korčula, reportedly the birthplace of the famous explorer Marco Polo.
Korčula is much quieter than Hvar, with a more laid-back vibe. Spend your day exploring Korčula town, visiting St. Mark’s Cathedral, and taking in the peaceful island scenery.
