Day 1: Luxembourg City
Old Town and Casemates du Bock
Start your trip in the capital, Luxembourg City. Head straight to the Old Town, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Take a leisurely stroll through the narrow streets, and you’ll discover centuries-old buildings, cute cafés, and plenty of charm.
Your priority today should be the Casemates du Bock, an underground network of tunnels used for defense in the past. It’s fun to wander through these ancient defensive walls while learning about the city’s history.
Place Guillaume II and Notre-Dame Cathedral

Hiking the Müllerthal Trail is a must. Even if you’re not a hiking enthusiast, the easier sections of the trail are very accessible, offering amazing rock formations, forests, and stunning views. A few hours here is refreshing and worth the trip.
Echternach Abbey
After hiking, head back into town to visit Echternach Abbey. This abbey dates back to the 7th century and houses a museum where you can learn more about Luxembourg’s fascinating history.
Echternach Lake

Day 5: Clervaux and the Ardennes
Clervaux Castle and “The Family of Man”
