Day 1: Arrival in Monaco

You’ve made it to Monaco! Start your journey by checking into your hotel and taking a moment to relax. For your first day, take a leisurely stroll around Monte Carlo. Walk through the Casino Square and admire the iconic Casino de Monte-Carlo. You don’t need to gamble to appreciate the grandeur.

In the evening, head to Larvotto Beach. You can relax by the water or grab a meal. The beach has a chill vibe and is a great place to unwind after your travels.

Day 2: Explore Monaco-Ville (Le Rocher) and the Prince’s Palace

Today, jump into Monaco’s old town, Monaco-Ville, also known as Le Rocher. Wander the narrow streets and feel like you’ve stepped back in time.

Visit the Prince’s Palace, the residence of Monaco’s ruling family. You can take a guided tour of the state apartments for a look at the regal life.

Make sure you’re at the Palace by 11:55 AM to catch the changing of the guards. Then, spend the afternoon exploring the Old Town’s small shops and cafés for souvenirs or a snack.

Spend the rest of the day walking around the beautifully maintained Jardins Saint-Martin nearby for some gorgeous views of the Mediterranean.

Day 4: Step into Monte Carlo’s Glamour

Monte Carlo is all about luxury. If you’re into cars, you can’t miss the chance to walk around the city and spot incredible luxury cars parked near the high-end boutiques.

Visit the Casino de Monte-Carlo later in the afternoon. Even if you’re not into gambling, you’ll appreciate the stunning architecture and the glamorous atmosphere of the casino’s patio. Consider sipping a coffee at Café de Paris, right next to the casino!

For dinner, treat yourself to a fine meal at one of Monte Carlo’s Michelin-star restaurants. You’ll feel like royalty for the evening.

Day 5: Hike to Tête de Chien and Explore French Border Towns

Today, escape the urban glitz and head just outside Monaco to explore its surroundings. Start with a hike up to Tête de Chien. It’s the highest point near Monaco and offers jaw-dropping views of the city, the sea, and the Italian coast.

After your hike, cross the border into France and visit the small town of La Turbie. It’s quiet, tucked away, and has a Roman monument worth a look.

Finish the day with a relaxing dinner back in Monaco or stay in La Turbie for a calmer, more local vibe.

Day 6: Sail Around Monaco’s Coastline

Make today about the sea. Rent a boat or hop on a guided tour to sail along Monaco’s stunning coastline.

You’ll get a unique perspective of the city by water, and it’s a relaxing way to spend a few hours. Bring some snacks, grab a drink, and enjoy the sun as you float on the Mediterranean.

You can spend the evening in Fontvieille. This newer district is less touristy and has a more laid-back atmosphere. Sit at a local café by the marina and watch the yachts come in and out.

Day 7: Day Trip to Èze Village

Monaco’s close neighbors provide some of the best off-the-beaten-path experiences. Today, take a short bus or taxi ride to the village of Èze.

This medieval hilltop village is pure magic. Walk up the winding cobblestone streets and explore its boutique shops and art galleries. Don’t forget to visit the Exotic Gardens at the top for panoramic views.

Have lunch at one of the small restaurants in Èze, then return to Monaco in the late afternoon for a relaxed evening.

Day 8: Visit the Exotic Garden of Monaco and Les Grottes de l’Observatoire

Start your day at Monaco’s Exotic Garden (“Jardin Exotique”). The garden is packed with hundreds of cacti and almost alien-looking plants. Plus, there are stunning Mediterranean views wherever you look.

From the garden, take a guided tour of the nearby Observatoire Caves. These prehistoric caves are filled with impressive stalactites and stalagmites, making it a surprising way to break up the sightseeing.

End your day by relaxing back at your hotel or treat yourself to a spa treatment.

Day 9: Grimaldi Forum and Beach Day

Take today easy. Start with an artsy morning at the Grimaldi Forum, Monaco’s cultural center. Check out any running exhibitions, which span art, fashion, and technology.

Afterward, head back to the beach for a full afternoon of rest and relaxation. Larvotto Beach might call you back, but if you’re up for it, explore some of the smaller seaside spots further out.

In the evening, consider a romantic dinner at Le Louis XV – Alain Ducasse. It’s one of the city’s most renowned restaurants, and dining here is definitely a treat.

Day 10: Grand Prix Track Walk and Farewell

For your last day, take a walk around the famous Monaco Grand Prix track. The race cars might not be in town, but it’s still fun to walk (or drive) the course and see the twists and turns that make this F1 track special.

If you’re up for a final adventure, visit the nearby Japanese Garden, a peaceful and quiet spot against the city’s busy background.

Before you leave, make time for any last-minute souvenir shopping or a final meal at your favorite café. Monaco is a small place, so it’s easy to cover your favorite spots one last time before you depart.
