Day 1: Zurich – Arrival and Exploration
Kick off your trip in Zurich, Switzerland’s largest city. After arriving, take it easy. Head to Lindenhof Hill for panoramic views of the city, then stroll through the Old Town (Altstadt). This area is full of narrow streets, cute shops, and historic buildings.
Spend the afternoon wandering Bahnhofstrasse, Zurich’s premier shopping street. Don’t miss walking along Lake Zurich. If you’re an art fan, check out the Kunsthaus Zurich, which has a wonderful collection of Swiss artists. Day 2: Day Trip to Rhine Falls and Stein am Rhein
Catch a morning train to visit Rhine Falls, Europe’s largest waterfall. There are viewing platforms offering up-close looks at this natural wonder. If you’re feeling adventurous, take a boat ride that goes right up to the falls.
Afterwards, head to Stein am Rhein, a nearby medieval town that’s known for its well-preserved old buildings with painted facades. Wander around the town, and don’t miss the Hohenklingen Castle, which has great views of the surrounding wine country.
Catch the train back to Zurich and take the evening to relax or enjoy a casual stroll along the city’s riverfront.
Day 3: Lucerne – The Heart of Switzerland
In the morning, take the train to Lucerne, a beautiful city surrounded by mountains. Start with a walk across the iconic Chapel Bridge (Kapellbrücke). Then, visit the Lion Monument, a touching memorial built to honor Swiss Guards who fell during the French Revolution.
For lunch, try a lakeside restaurant and enjoy the view over Lake Lucerne. In the afternoon, ride the cable car or cogwheel train up to Mount Pilatus. The views from the top are absolutely breathtaking. If you’re up for it, hike some of the trails at the summit.

Hop on the train to Interlaken in the morning. Here, you’ll find a true adventurer’s paradise. Take a short hike to Harder Kulm for some stunning views of the Jungfrau region. You can also opt for a relaxing boat ride on either Lake Thun or Lake Brienz.
If you’re feeling adrenaline-hungry, there are plenty of adventure activities like paragliding or canyoning. Interlaken is the perfect base for something thrilling.
In the evening, enjoy a simple, hearty Swiss meal and get ready for the epic days ahead.
Day 6: Visit Lauterbrunnen and Mürren
Set out early for Lauterbrunnen, known as the valley of 72 waterfalls. Walk around the village and take in the beauty of Staubbach Falls. Then, hop on the funicular up to Mürren, a charming car-free mountain village.

Return to Interlaken for a restful night.
Day 7: Jungfraujoch – Top of Europe
Make today unforgettable with a trip to Jungfraujoch – the Top of Europe. Take the cogwheel train up to the highest railway station in Europe. The views from the top are truly incredible, with snow-capped peaks all around.
You can explore the Ice Palace, walk on the Aletsch Glacier, or even try snow tubing! After a full day of high-altitude adventure, take the train back down to Interlaken to unwind.
Day 8: Zermatt – Home of the Matterhorn
Take a scenic train ride to Zermatt, home to the world-famous Matterhorn. Zermatt is an alpine town that’s all about hikes and serious mountain views. Spend your day walking around the town, visiting some local shops, and getting acquainted with the area.
If you have time, take the Gornergrat Railway, which leads to views of the Matterhorn and the surrounding glaciers. In the evening, enjoy a nice dinner in this beautiful mountain village.
Day 9: Matterhorn Glacier Paradise
Today, visit the Matterhorn Glacier Paradise. A cable car will take you up to the highest cable car station in Europe. Head out to the viewing platform for stunning views of the Matterhorn and 38 other surrounding peaks.
This is a perfect day to connect with nature. Also visit the Glacier Palace to walk through a world of ice. For the more adventurous, there are year-round skiing opportunities up here!
After a day in the mountains, head back down to Zermatt for a relaxing evening.
Day 10: Montreux – Relax on Lake Geneva
In the morning, take a train to Montreux, located on the banks of Lake Geneva. Montreux is a peaceful town known for its jazz festival and stunning lakeside scenery. Spend the afternoon wandering along the flower-lined lakeside promenade.
Visit Chillon Castle, a medieval fortress located right on the water. It’s one of the best-preserved castles in Switzerland. Wrap up your day with a coffee or drink by the lake and soak in the calm atmosphere.
Day 11: Explore the Lavaux Vineyards
Just a short trip from Montreux lies the Lavaux Vineyards, a UNESCO World Heritage site. These terraced vineyards have been producing wine for centuries. Walk through the vineyards, take in the views over Lake Geneva, and, of course, sample some Swiss wine at one of the vineyards.
In the evening, head back to Montreux for a relaxed dinner at one of the town’s many great lakeside restaurants.
Day 12: Gruyères – Cheese and Chocolate
Head out to Gruyères, one of Switzerland’s most picturesque small towns. Famous for its cheese, visit La Maison du Gruyère to see how the famous Gruyère cheese is made.
Later, travel to the nearby Maison Cailler chocolate factory. Here, you’ll learn about the history of Swiss chocolate, sample some treats, and maybe even buy a few to take home.
Wrap up with a walk through the fairytale-like town of Gruyères, and then make your way back to Montreux.
Day 13: Geneva – Switzerland’s Global City
In the morning, take the train to Geneva. Start your exploration with a walk along Lake Geneva and through the city’s well-manicured parks. Highlight your day with a visit to the Jet d’Eau, one of the tallest fountains in the world.
For lunch, check out Geneva’s international food scene, exploring different cuisines from around the world. Spend the afternoon learning about Switzerland’s role in global diplomacy by visiting the United Nations Office or the International Red Cross Museum.
Day 14: Final Day in Geneva (Departure)
On your last day, take it slow. Visit any spots you’ve missed or simply wander the city. You could visit the Old Town and check out St. Pierre Cathedral. If you’re a watch aficionado, explore the Patek Philippe Museum to see a collection of intricate Swiss watches.
Take some time to reflect on your trip as you sit by the lake with a final Swiss coffee before catching your flight home.
