Day 1: Arrival in Nadi
Welcome to Fiji! After a long flight, you’ll be landing in Nadi, the main gateway to the islands. Take things slow. You’ll want to relax after the journey.
Check into your accommodation and explore Nadi town. Visit the Sri Siva Subramaniya Swami Temple, a colorful Hindu temple, or stroll through the local markets to pick up fresh fruits or handmade crafts.
For dinner, try some traditional Fijian dishes. The must-tries? Fish, cassava, and coconut-based meals. Don’t stress about planning too much for your first day. Let yourself adjust to Fiji’s slower pace.
Day 2: Day Trip to the Mamanuca Islands
Get an early start with a day-trip out to the nearby Mamanuca Islands. These small islands offer white sandy beaches and crystal-clear waters.
You can book a boat tour from Nadi’s Port Denarau, spending the day snorkeling, swimming, and soaking up the sun. Make sure you bring sunscreen because the sun is quite strong out here.
Back in Nadi in the evening, unwind with a cool drink. You’ve earned it.
Day 3: Sabeto Hot Springs and Garden of the Sleeping Giant

Start with visiting the Sabeto Hot Springs and Mud Pool, just outside of Nadi. Cover yourself in mud, let it dry, and rinse off in the natural hot pools—a refreshing and unique experience!
Then visit the Garden of the Sleeping Giant. These peaceful gardens have hundreds of orchids, perfect for a scenic and relaxing afternoon. Nothing too hectic today—Fiji isn’t about rushing.
Day 4: Head to Pacific Harbour
After a laid-back breakfast, it’s time to venture to Pacific Harbour. This is the adventure capital of Fiji. It’s about a 2-hour bus ride from Nadi.
Spend the late afternoon relaxing on the coast or walking into Pacific Harbour’s small local town to grab a fresh meal. You can join a small beachfront kava ceremony to mingle with locals and learn about this local drink.
Day 5: Shark Diving in Pacific Harbour
If you’re up for a thrill, you’ll want to go Fiji’s famous shark dive. This is not for the faint-hearted, but it’s one of the most exhilarating experiences here. Dive with reef and bull sharks along with colorful tropical fish.
If that’s too much adventure, don’t worry! You can opt for paddleboarding, kayaking through the mangroves, or even just chilling by the beach. Fiji gives you all the time in the world.
Day 6: River Rafting on the Upper Navua River
Book a river rafting trip on the Upper Navua River. This scenic 4-6 hour descent takes you through jungle-lined river passages and incredible waterfalls. It’s both relaxing and adventurous.

In the evening, join a beachfront dinner or catch the sunset with a drink in hand.
Day 7: Suva – Fiji’s Capital City
It’s time to head to Suva, Fiji’s capital. This city is full of history, culture, and warm Fijian smiles. Check into a hotel in the heart of the city.
Your first stop? The Fiji Museum. It’s a small museum, but it shows you Fiji’s rich history dating back thousands of years.
Walk along the Suva sea wall in the evening for some breeze, and grab dinner at one of the local food joints or restaurants. Suva is bustling with energy, but less touristy than coastal cities.

Day 8: Explore Colo-i-Suva Forest Park
Start your day with a short trip to Colo-i-Suva Forest Park, just a few kilometers from the city. Here, you can hike through the rainforest and swim in natural waterfalls. It’s peaceful, and you’ll likely have the spot to yourself in the morning.
In the afternoon, wander through Suva’s Municipal Market to grab fresh food or traditional Fijian snacks. This is a great way to see everyday life and mix with locals.
Day 9: Journey to Taveuni
Today, fly from Suva to Taveuni, known as the “Garden Island”. This island is all about nature, hiking, and waterfalls. Once you’ve settled into your accommodation, take the rest of the day to relax and explore the area.

Catch a peaceful sunset over the ocean. Taveuni has a slower, even more laid-back vibe than the mainland.
Day 10: Lavena Coastal Walk and Bouma National Heritage Park
Spend the day doing the Lavena Coastal Walk, which is an easy hike that guides you through local villages, forests, and beaches. It ends at a massive waterfall where you can take a swim to cool off.
Alternatively, explore Bouma National Heritage Park. It’s a large area with several more waterfalls and hiking trails. Be sure to bring water and snacks as you wander through the wild.
Day 11: Scuba Diving the Rainbow Reef
If you’re a fan of diving, you won’t want to miss Rainbow Reef. Known for its soft coral, it’s one of Fiji’s most famous and colorful dive spots. Visibility here is excellent, and the coral formations are jaw-dropping.
In the evening, relax back at your accommodation or visit a small local restaurant. You’ll be tired but happy after the dive.
Day 12: Relax on Taveuni’s Beach
After back-to-back adventure days, it’s time for a full-on rest day. Spend your time lounging on the beach or swimming in the gentle waters of Taveuni. Let yourself unwind with a good book while enjoying the tropical vibe.
If you feel energetic later in the day, try a short kayaking trip or explore more of the island’s coastline. Take it easy today; you’ve earned it.
Day 13: Travel to the Yasawa Islands
Catch a flight back to Nadi and take a boat ride to the Yasawa Islands. The Yasawas are some of the most stunning islands in Fiji, with jagged peaks and beautiful lagoons. Check into your accommodation and unwind.
Spend the evening soaking in the sunset views over the Pacific. The Yasawas feel untouched, so this will be one of your most peaceful stops.
Day 14: Snorkel or Visit the Sawa-i-Lau Caves
On your last full day, head out for some snorkeling around the islands. The Yasawas offer excellent snorkeling spots with plenty of coral reefs and marine life. Take some time to dip in and out of the water all day.
If you feel adventurous, visit the Sawa-i-Lau Caves. These limestone caves are secluded and mystical. Swim through the water-filled caves and feel like you’re discovering a hidden world.
In the evening, toast to the end of an epic Fiji trip with a nice beachside dinner. It’s your last chance to savor the island life.
Day 15: Head Home
Time to say goodbye to Fiji. After breakfast, hop on a boat back to Nadi and head to the airport for your flight home.
You’ll leave with memories of stunning beaches, friendly locals, and adventures you won’t forget.
