Wear flat shoesThe Old Town streets are cobbled and steep, and cars are restricted, so everything on the hill is on foot.
Mind the lunch breaksThe Old Plovdiv houses and theatre close for a half-hour around 12:30 to 1:30 PM, so plan lunch around it.
Know Monday closuresHindliyan House, Balabanova House and the ethnographic museum are closed on Mondays. Swap them for the free sights.
