At the border and during your stay

The Entry/Exit System records a facial image and fingerprints at the Schengen external border, and ETIAS applications are not yet open.
Bulgaria has been inside the Schengen area since 31 March 2024 for air and sea borders, and its land borders with Romania opened on 1 January 2025.
