Stay and transit
The e-Visa allows up to 90 days a year and multiple entries while it is valid; to stay longer, contact the Federal Police in Brazil. A visa is never issued at a Brazilian airport or border. If you only change planes on one ticket and stay in the international transit zone, you need no visa; separate tickets through passport control do need one.
