How to apply in New Delhi
Fill in the online visa application form and print the receipt, then request an appointment through the Embassy's e-consular system and pay the fee at its last step. Staff check the request within 24 to 48 hours and send a link to book your appointment. Bring your passport and all original documents to the counter, which takes submissions Monday to Thursday, 10 AM to 12 noon.
The Embassy says processing can take up to 10 to 15 business days when demand is high, and asks applicants to apply as early as possible. In Maharashtra, Goa or Karnataka, apply at the Consulate General in Mumbai instead.
