Entry rule for your passport
Ordinary British citizen passports need no visa for tourism up to 90 days in any 180. The passport needs 150 days of validity from arrival and 1 blank page. Other British nationality statuses need a visa; confirm the application route with a Turkish mission.
Official sources: UK Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office.
Who this covers: Full British citizen passports for short tourist visits. Other British nationality categories, official passports and Turkish residence require separate checks; FCDO advice is scoped to travel from the UK.
Check your circumstances
Read these conditions alongside the entry rule. Where official guidance does not state a condition, that is not confirmation that no condition applies.

Check the passport category and blank page
FCDO requires at least 150 days of passport validity from arrival and at least one blank page. A full British citizen passport qualifies for the short tourist exemption; another British passport category does not automatically qualify.
If you live in Turkey, FCDO specifies six months of passport validity from arrival. Check the residence-document rules for your own circumstances.

Keep track of every visit
Include earlier trips when checking the rolling stay allowance. A short trip out of Turkey does not reset it, and using a second passport does not double it. Keep entry and departure dates together when planning return visits.

Check children and unusual journeys separately
If leaving with a child who is both British and Turkish and aged 18 or younger, check whether permission from the Turkish parent is needed. Do not treat that dual-national condition as a universal rule for every British child.
Have land-border officials stamp and date your passport. For a trip that needs a visa, check the responsible Turkish mission’s procedure. A sticker-visa online form is only the pre-application stage, not assurance that no appointment or interview follows.
